It was called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, and it led to other obsessions with wealth and famous individuals, as the 90s brought us the popular TV show Cribs.

We are all morbidly fascinated with money and wealth, and how much we want more of it.

We enjoy seeing how the other half lives.

How does the other half live? I’m talking about the STINKIN' RICH in Alabama.

You must admit, Alabama is not known for its wealthy neighborhoods and beautiful beaches, but what we are about to show you is pretty impressive and very exclusive.

As the video points out, this is a behind-the-scenes look that few in our state have ever witnessed.

I love how that one resident says we’re just California with a southern accent.
That is a great line.

As the video begins in Fairhope, you see the town's movie legend, Morgan Freeman, who is proud to be part of the town and even helped hire police officers for it.

I also love the story he tells about his time in Santa Monica, California, and the reactions he got when he told people he was from Alabama.

Most of the time, they would bring up racial discrimination and just an overall impression that everything is so backward down in Alabama.
