According to the renowned Dr. John Friel, it is a rare dinosaur tooth.
The good doctor discovered the tooth of a duck-billed dinosaur in Greene County earlier this Summer.

According to the doctor and a CBS 42 report, the fossil is likely from the late Cretaceous Period.
Whatever that means.
Well, actually, according to the doctor, this dates back 84 million years.
I’m not a doctor, but I disagree with that assessment.
I do not believe the Earth is 84 million years old.

Oh man, that first time seeing those dinosaurs on the big screen in the Summer of 1993 was simply amazing.
Jurassic Park (1993) made $1,104,379,926 worldwide that year. The world was captivated by dinosaurs after that movie came out.
In fact, interesting little nugget for ya:
Interest in paleontology waned significantly during the Space Race; however, Dr. Nate Smith noted that the release of Jurassic Park generated a surge of interest among young people, who soon decided they wanted to become paleontologists.

Nobody even knew that they were going to make 23 movies and continue to reboot it over and over again.
Of course, they wouldn’t do that if the movies weren’t big box office hits.
Everybody loves dinosaurs and enjoys seeing them, even though none of us were alive to see them roam the Earth.
As for this tooth, you can examine it by taking a trip to the Alabama Museum of Natural History, where Dr. Friel will guide you through the museum and answer your questions.
He is an excellent and patient man who is always willing to take the time to talk with kids and adults alike about all things dinosaur!
