The 953 Bear Steve & DC Morning Show checked in with the new mayor Tuesday November 4th.

Mayor Phillips put his hand on an old family bible while being sworn in as mayor. His son Ryan standing by his side.

The new mayor promised to keep an open door policy for Northport citizens.

Mayor Phillips wants a “we can do better” attitude for his city.  When Steve & DC requested a Culver’s for Northport, the mayor said “there are lots of things in the works”.

Phillips would like to see the council all work together as a cohesive unit. He also promised transparency.
