I am known around the station as “the clean one”. I'm notorious for cleaning up after people and making sure they know I did. Actually at work and at home.

It’s a fault I’ve had for many years and over a few of those years I’ve worked with Madison & Shepherd. Hmmm. How do I explain this? Really all I need to say is... food and drink rings. That’s it. They’re not by nature nasty people but they eat and drink a lot in our studio. The studio they share with my clean butt!

Kimberly and I have poked quite a bit of fun at each other over the years when she leaves a paper cup ring on the console of a tater tot in the corner. It’s all in good fun.

One battle we’ve had for years is, every afternoon; I cut the studio television off and make sure the window is locked. See, the air in the morning can get rather brutal and Kimberly gets frozen out some mornings so she opens the window to help combat the barrage of arctic air.

Here’s where I come in. She closes the window, yes. BUT, SHE NEVER LOCKS IT BACK! Why does that drive me crazy? I have no idea but it does. I’m obsessive compulsive and anal, sue me.

Why would you close an exterior window and not lock it? Who does that? Does the fact that she’s shared her home with a heavily armed police officer for so many years give her a sense that no one will ever open a window she shuts?

Through the years of our glorious friendship I’ve left her notes, written with dry erase marker on the window. I’m going to call myself out now because she’s bound to tomorrow morning.

These are for you P!
