Fresh off of an extended holiday weekend, here is my look at 6 things happening in our world today. I'll take a look at the weather, Chizik, Bella Swan, and 'Cyber Monday'.

FORECAST: Lows down around 5 tonight with highs tomorrow reaching the upper-50s under sunny skies.

ALABAMA: The biggest news in Alabama is also the biggest news in sports. After Auburn’s crushing 49-00 loss to Bama on Saturday, head coach Gene Chizik has been fired. “I’m extremely disappointed with the way this season turned out, and I apologize to the Auburn family and our team for what they have had to endure,” Chizik said in a statement.

NATIONAL: Today is Cyber Monday and the deals are abounding! Some I have seen: TigerDirect.com is offering a 50-inch Vizio LCD TV for $499 and Sears has 10 percent off all appliances.

SPORTS: Auburn joins Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas as the SEC schools firing head football coaches at the end of the 2012 season. Purdue, Boston College, Colorado, and North Carolina State are also looking for new head coaches after losing seasons.
Also TONIGHT, Cam Newton’s Carolina Panthers head to Philly to take on the Eagles for Monday Night Football.

ENTERTAINMENT: ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’ was No. 1 this weekend with $64 million during the five-day holiday stretch that began Wednesday. The new James Bond flick ‘Skyfall’ came in second with $51 million followed by Daniel Day-Lewis’ ‘Lincoln’ in third with $34.1 million!

MUSIC: Jake Owen returns to the top of the country chart this week! Not only did he and his wife Lacey welcome a new baby into the world on Thanksgiving Day but his latest track ‘The One That Got Away’ went to #1 making this his third consecutive chart topper.
