The National Weather Service in Birmingham said the main areas of concern are “damaging straight-line winds up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail.”

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist, said that “storms this afternoon could produce small hail and strong gusty winds. There is no tornado threat.”
