Love Matters In Tuscaloosa And We Can Prove It
Yes, it does. West Alabama can be a very giving and kind-hearted part of this great country.

Love matters in Tuscaloosa and West Alabama, so get ready for proof.
Agape of Central Alabama invites you to Love Matters 2026.
Steve Duer, the Executive Director of Agape of Central Alabama, sat down to share some information on the upcoming event.
At this free event, you’ll hear powerful, firsthand stories from foster and adoptive families, as well as from our dedicated social workers.
This evening is an opportunity to see how lives are being changed—and how you can be part of that impact.
Agape is a Christian foster care and adoption ministry committed to reflecting God’s heart for vulnerable children and families. The name comes from the New Testament word “Agape,” meaning unconditional love.
That love shapes everything they do—from supporting children in foster care, to walking alongside expectant parents, or to equipping families pursuing adoption.
For nearly five decades, Agape has provided hope and restoration.
Since 1978, they've served over 2,000 children through foster care and helped more than 250 children find permanent, loving homes through adoption. Agape of Central Alabama has also counseled hundreds of pregnant women in crisis, helping them make informed, life-giving decisions for themselves and their children.
At Love Matters 2026, you’ll hear compelling, firsthand stories from foster and adoptive families, as well as from some of the dedicated social workers. This evening is an opportunity to see how lives are being changed—and how you can be part of that impact.
Agape invites the community to join them for a meaningful night of connection, inspiration, and purpose.
This free dinner event will take place on May 1st at The Church at Tuscaloosa (TCAT), with doors opening at 6:00 PM and the program beginning at 6:30.
