Norwood was drafted in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He spent the next four years on the fringe of the NFL with the Seahawks, Panthers, Chargers and Giants recording nine career receptions for 102 yards.

Billy Napier, Norwood's former position coach at Alabama, gave him his first coaching opportunity with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns as an offensive quality control coach, specifically to running backs and receivers.

Norwood was retained by the current Cajuns coach Michael Desormeaux after Napier departed for the University of Florida.

Norwood may have joined an SEC West rival in the Ole Miss Rebels, but the former Alabama receiver is now on the fast track in college coaching.
