Tuscaloosa VCU Charges Man With Sexual Abuse, Seeks Other Victims
Investigators in Tuscaloosa have charged a local man with burglary and sexual abuse and believe he may have other victims in the area.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, alerted local media to the arrest on Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to investigating homicides and assaults, the VCU also maintains a group of specialists who handle child and adult sex crimes.

Kennedy said in January, the VCU began investigating a report of a break-in and sexual assault involving 32-year-old Deunta Sherron Wilson.
Kennedy said Wilson was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree burglary. He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $35,000 consolidated cash bond.
"Investigators believe there could be additional victims of Wilson’s based off information received during the investigation. Wilson is known to have ties and be active in Tuscaloosa’s nightlife culture," Kennedy said. "This investigation is ongoing. Due to the nature of the assaults, and known proclivities of these types of offenders, we encourage anyone who may have been a victim or knows of any possible abuse by this subject to please contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690."
