A Demopolis man was killed early Friday morning in a predawn wreck in Hale County, Alabama State Troopers have confirmed.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Troopers in West Alabama, said 31-year-old TaCorey D. Jefferson was driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Alabama Highway 60 when it left the road, overturned and struck a tree.

King said Jefferson, a Demopolis man, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and did not survive.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday about five miles east of Sawyerville, Alabama, in Hale County.

King said the Troopers are still investigating the deadly wreck and no further details were available Friday afternoon.
