Hannah was a top-30 recruit in the Crimson Tide's 2025 recruiting class, but only appeared in 10 games for head coach Nate Oats and Alabama last season after injuries limited his first season of college basketball. In his 10 games, Hannah averaged 3.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game on 46.2% shooting from the floor and 36.4% from beyond the arc. The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native originally chose the Crimson Tide over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Wildcats, and the Missouri Tigers in November 2024.
