The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a “Wind Chill Advisory.” This goes into effect Tuesday, January 16, from Midnight until Noon.

Frigid temperatures continue as an Arctic freeze blasts through a large part of the United States, including Alabama. Our area could expect wind chill values as low as zero.

The possible impact is that "cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken," said the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
