Latest ESPN Joe Lunardi Bracketology Updates
Despite not having Charles Bediako after his injunction was denied by Tuscaloosa Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pruet, the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Ole Miss Rebels on Wednesday night to claim the Tide's 17th victory of the season and its seventh of SEC play. The victory over the Rebels saw the Crimson Tide rise in the latest bracketology from ESPN bracketology expert Joe Lunardi.

In Lunardi's latest bracketology update after the midweek slate of games, the Alabama Crimson Tide rose to a four-seed after previously being projected as a five-seed in the NCAA men's basketball tournament, which will take place roughly in one month. The current projection from Lunardi sees the Crimson Tide as the lowest-rated four-seed, playing in the Midwest region. The top four seeds in that region currently project to be:
One-seed Michigan
Two-seed Iowa State
Three-seed Michigan State
Four-seed Alabama
In his most recent updated article, Lunardi confirmed the rise of the Crimson Tide after a strong showing against a gritty, physical Chris Beard-led Ole Miss team on Wednesday night. Alabama's previously highest-projected seed, according to Lunardi, was a three-seed in early January, immediately following Alabama's victory over Kentucky to open SEC play. Since then, the Tide has suffered injuries and a brief appearance from former Alabama player Charles Bediako. Alabama currently sits with a 17-7 record (7-4 record in SEC play).
The Tide's next few games could help determine where it sits in the bracketology, with a game that it should handle with relative ease against South Carolina on Saturday, and the 21st-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks next Wednesday. Arkansas is currently projected as a five-seed in Lunardi's bracketology.
