Monday night immediately after a tornado cleared a path through parts of Oklahoma, our staff started planning how we could help those in need. The first text was sent out to all our employees from Kimberly Madison and the messages then started flowing, on into the night with the last one coming through at 11:15 or so. I bet I got 150 texts if I got one but the good thing, when the staff of 95.3 The Bear and our sister stations went to bed last night, we knew exactly what we were doing on Tuesday morning.

From Chik-fil-A in Northport to Walmart, we hit the streets asking for socks, underwear, toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. and our neighbors came by the dozens, all bearing gifts for the residents of Oklahoma.

From 7am until 5pm, we did what we could and successfully raised an estimated 3000-4000 lbs. of supplies, now on their way to OK!
