When you wish upon a star, it makes no dif...yeah, you understand.

It's time for the big "LYRID" meteor shower.

Thursday night and into Friday morning is the best time to catch a quick shower.

Records of Lyrid meteor showers go back more than 2,000 years. Somewhere around 20 meteors will streak across the clear blue sky each hour this evening.

The moon could mess it all up this evening, so just know that up front.

Thanks moon. Meteors will be radiating from near the constellation Lyra, for those wondering.

Yet, they can show up in any part of that big 'ol sky.

GOOD NEWS IS....

Alabama is in the "GOOD" viewing area predicted by the experts on these kinds of events.

More info can be found below courtesy of Accuweather.

Happy, happy viewing this evening and in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Don't forget to wish upon that falling star and you know the rest of that deal.
