Hazardous Winter Weather Conditions for Tuscaloosa and West Alabama
An artic cold front is racing towards Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. It will deliver extremely cold and hazardous winter weather conditions through Wednesday.
Approaching rainfall may mix with snow late tonight. No accumulation is expected. Be alert of 'black ice' on the roads during this freeze.
The National Weather Service office in Birmingham has posted a list of advisories and a warning:
- Hard Freeze Warning in effect from Monday (1/6) 12am until Tuesday (1/7) 12pm
- Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Sunday (1/5) 6pm until Monday (1/6) 11am
- Wind Chill Advisory in effect from Monday (1/6) 12am until Tuesday (1/7) 12pm
- Wind Advisory in effect from Sunday (1/5) 6pm until Monday (1/6) 6pm
