The first round of severe weather in a forecasted double-header threat is approaching west Alabama as Friday night becomes Saturday morning and the system has already created tornadoes in several US states.
According to WBRC-TV, the Walker County EMA reported that the fire department responded to a call this afternoon, in which a female was struck by lightning while near a window in her house. It isn't the first time an individual has been struck by lightning indoors. Thankfully, it is pretty rare.
