University of Alabama Ban On Drones Over Bryant Denny
It’s not that there wasn’t already a ban in place over Bryant Denny Stadium; it’s that they felt the need to reiterate this on Monday.

The reminder comes as there’s been an uptick in drone incidents at sporting events around the country.
Drones are prohibited from flying anywhere near the Saban field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for one hour before the game through one hour after the game.
You have to ask yourself why this has become such a significant problem, and it makes me think. Maybe drones have gotten a little too commonplace.
Did you know that Bryant Denny Falls under the FAA rule of 30,000?
Drone shows have become increasingly popular, as evidenced by the recent grand opening event of River Run Park in Northport, Alabama.

The FAA already bans drones from flying over any venue that seats 30,000 or more, which includes pretty much every major sports stadium in America.
University officials have a statement on their website, asking fans to be good sports and leave their drones at home on game day.
Breaking the rule can result in a severe fine of $75,000 as well as criminal penalties.
NFL security officials have stated that drones have caused games to be stopped in some extreme cases, and the overall incidents have increased by almost 4000%.
It’s a crazy world out there, and we don’t need more drones over public events like games at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Everyone in Alabama should be aware that it is against the law to fly drones anywhere near public events, such as sporting events, concerts, or festivals.
Perhaps it's education, but that’s why we’re doing our part to inform people. It is not OK to fly a drone over any public event.
