Don Hartley is closely following Hurricane Irma and how the mass evacuations will impact Tuscaloosa.  Fresno State isn't bringing many fans and haven't book many local hotel rooms, but that has now changed.

Hotel and Motels around Tuscaloosa are reporting "phones ringing off the hook" from people wanting to book rooms thru next weekend.

From the desk of Bobby Best....

Florida Governor Rick Scott is stressing that Florida residents need to evacuate or go to one of many local shelters that have been set up, for Florida residents that can't evacuate North.  Additionally, Governor Scott is calling for volunteers! They already have around a few thousand volunteers, but he stated that they need 17,000 volunteers!

Every member of The Florida National Guard has been activated and the state of emergency, issued earlier by Governor Scott, continues! Additionally, there are now some areas of Eastern, Georgia that Georgia's Governor has declared a state of emergency for and plans are now being made for ultimate evacuation also...
Government officials are working to insure that gas supplies continue to be made available to residents through the entire state of Florida, especially for portions of extreme South, Florida!  Governor Rick Scott has suspended all tolls, on the toll roads and turnpikes in Florida, though this disaster!  Hurricane Watches are now in effect for both The Gulf and Atlantic sides of South, Florida as far North as Lake Okeechobee!
Irma has set a record! No storm in recorded history, has stayed as strong, for as long of a period of time (over 35 hours now and continuing) ever!!!
