Of course, an Alabama man gets arrested for allegedly planning and plotting attacks of public figures that he doesn’t care for.

According to WBRC, investigators and law enforcement officers tracked leads to Choctaw County.

Jeremy Shoemaker is the man behind bars at this hour. Federal agents are now involved in the investigation into these plans.

Deputies found the exact items you would expect when someone is planning a mass attack of some kind. They found a suitcase full of ammunition as well as body armor and multiple automatic weapons.

The main plot centered around attacks on synagogues in both Alabama and neighboring states.

Authorities also say that plans were discovered regarding public figures who were also being targeted. At this time, they cannot reveal who those public figures are, as the investigation is ongoing.

We’ve been very fortunate in Alabama to have not experienced a major mass casualty attack, and this is more evidence that we have to stay focused and ready to report anything that is a threat.
