Alabama's Eli Gold Makes it Official

The voice of the Crimson Tide has a lot of memorable sayings and game calls.

Eli Gold has been the voice of the Crimson Tide since the late 80's. He called the 1992 National Championship as the Tide defeated the defending national champions the Miami hurricanes.

However, he made a life changing announcement on Thursday of this week while talking to WNSP-FM 105.5. He says the results of his pet scan are good, and that he is cancer free.

As Bama fans remember Eli Gold was out for the entire 2022 season due to what led to his cancer diagnosis.

Cancer wasn't the only health issue Gold has faced in the past few years. He had both shoulders replaced in 2020. Eli went on to say he is cancer free but will have follow up appointments and another scan to monitor his progress.
