Blue Bell Ice Cream Recall Impacts Dessert Lovers Across Alabama
A major recall has hit Alabama grocery stores in recent weeks. This newest recall will affect a very popular dessert item in Alabama.
According to the FDA, Blue Bell Ice Cream has an active voluntary recall on a specific ice cream flavor. The recall is said to be potentially dangerous to come with allergies or severe sensitivity to certain foods.

"The recalled product was mistakenly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream cartons with a Moo-llennium Crunch lid," Blue Bell said in an announcement to the FDA.
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds, walnuts, and pecans run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products."
It's said that an employee at Blue Bell discovered the huge mistake while restocking the ice cream at a retailer.
The affected ice cream half gallons were distributed through retail outlets in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida Panhandle, Northwest Georgia, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Southwest Virginia.
The code on the affected recalled ice cream is 061027524. A picture of the recalled flavor container can be found on the FDA's site.
