It's the talk of Northport at the moment. Well, I live in Northport, and I'm certainly talking about it. It's known as one of the great steakhouses in the southeast. In West Alabama, it's located in Moundville, Alabama.
Recently, staffers at Big Mike's in Moundville have been sharing some news with customers. That news concerns a big move from Moundville to Northport. It will be the main topic during a public meeting in Northport later this month. The Northport City Council will hold a meeting on May 18th to consider an agreement to bring the popular steakhouse to Northport.
That meeting will begin at 5:30 pm. The well-known steakhouse has locations in Orange Beach, Auburn, Guntersville, and Thomasville. The new Northport location is expected to generate nearly $5 million in annual sales.
Northport residents are invited to attend the meeting later this month. Mike Cole is the "Big" Mike behind the successful restaurants. Cole partnered with Scott Powell and Caine Conway to bring their vision to cities across Alabama.
The restaurant's popularity could be a big boost to Northport if the project is approved.
