Alabama Big Catfish Photo Contest Coming Soon
Folks at the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association are launching the first-ever big catfish photo contest, a slight twist on the annual best fish contest. The contest begins May 27 and runs through July 12.

Alabama has plenty of great spots for catfishing, and it doesn’t really matter how you catch them in this contest. You can reel them in or haul them up from jugs or wrestle them in by hand while noodling. All ages are welcome to enter the competition and try to win the grand prize.
The contest winner will be chosen exclusively through online voting and will receive a two-person half-day guided trip with Bama Noodling in 2027, where they will experience the thrill of catching catfish by hand while taking part in a unique southern outdoor tradition.
You can submit your favorite catfish photos online HERE.
