‘Bama Featured In Vizio Ultra HD Commercial

While recovering from shoulder surgery, I've had a lot of time to watch television which also includes seeing a lot of commercials. I'd seen this particular advertisement before but it wasn't until recently that I noticed an interesting aspect to the latest campaign for VIZIO ULTRA HD televisions.

While preparing for Thanksgiving, a group of adults are so consumed with what's on the screen in front of them that they're blind to the chaos behind them. In 'Turkey Dinner', the camera pans slowly across the room and shows what appears to be a typical American living room until the dinner table comes into view. It's then we realize that VIZIO's Ultra HD tv screen might be a little too engaging because the dogs have decided to eat Thanksgiving dinner early. As the commercial comes to a close, the viewer is given a glimpse of the program the guests found so engaging: an Alabama football game.
