Andy and Barney, the 2 go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly, or Tuscaloosa and Bama football, in my opinion.  Don Knotts' best known for his role as Deputy Barney Fife on the "Andy Griffith Show."  Perhaps some know him as the goofy landlord, Ralph Furley who he played on "Three's Company."

Did you know, at the time of Don Knotts' death, Andy was by his side?  Griffith says "I had some good moments with my pal in his final moments."  Barney was unable to speak, but would simply move his shoulder to let Andy know he was listening.  Griffith went on to say, "You gotta keep breathing and I saw his chest heave so i know he heard me."  Don Knotts passed away that sad day of Feb 24th, 2006.  Andy would live another 6 years before his death at age 86 in 2012.

The Andy Griffith Show aired on CBS from 1960 to 1968, with a total of 249 half-hour episodes.  There is just something special about this ole black and white TV show that makes me watch it over and over today in 2016.  For more about the relationship between Andy and Barney listen to today's Wild Bill Show on 95.3 The Bear!
