Deal with it.

We must, for our own survival in this world, get over talking about things that some people just don’t want to talk about.
A problem is a problem. What a simple sentence, but not understood by so many in this country, and for that matter, around the world.
As a grandfather of small children in school in Alabama, I do not want to see this violence come to our state.
I believe we've been blessed in Alabama to not have our state on a list of one of these huge and horrific mass shootings.
When you have a problem, what do you do?
Even a child knows that you address it.
I am a white male over the age of 40, and I can easily admit that young white men sitting in their basements or dark rooms spending all day on a digital device or a laptop is a recipe for disaster.
It is a problem. See, that wasn’t hard to do. It’s simple, and it’s logical.
Those young white men often end up in chat rooms that encourage bitterness, hatred, and anger.
Many times, they are encouraged to commit violence to “get even”.
Transgender violence is also a big problem.
How many more trans shootings have to happen before we have an honest conversation as a society?
The data is clear. The thread is real.
Could it be that encouraging someone so very young to make such a massive decision involving their sex that cannot be undone could lead to a lot of deep mental instability?
Is it possible that it could lead to violence when they realize it’s too late to turn back?
It is becoming a headline that we see over and over again.

We must stop with the nonsense of pretending like it isn’t real because it’s not worth more deaths, and in particular, the death of our children.
Do the research on many of these shootings, and you will see that they are taking out little children.
Children in grade school are the victims in so many of these cases, and I am not willing to watch more of this innocence be slaughtered.
This has to be addressed in a real way by our government leaders and the community.
Mental health is a serious issue in this nation and requires urgent attention.
