The Crimson Tide practiced for two hours outside at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields on Tuesday to prepare its game plan for this weekend’s Southeastern Conference opener at South Carolina.

Practice will resume on Wednesday before Alabama hits the road this Saturday, Sept. 14, to open its conference slate against South Carolina. Game time is set for 2:39 p.m. CT at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C. The matchup will air on CBS with Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson in the booth and Jamie Erdahl working the sidelines.

Alabama and South Carolina will meet for the 16th time in series history when the two teams square off on Saturday with the Crimson Tide holding a 12-3 (10-4 NCAA) advantage in the series. The matchup will also be the ninth time the two schools have met since South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992 with Alabama leading, 5-3, in league parings. The Crimson Tide also maintains a 3-2 mark in Columbia.
