Not a great way to start the new year.

A freak accident at an Alabama airport killed a worker with American Airlines after he was “ingested into the engine”.

Nothing about this sounds pleasant or even plausible at first glance.

Authorities have confirmed the death of the worker at a Montgomery, Alabama airport.

According to a report by Reuters, the worker was working on an American Airlines plane from a ramp when the unfortunate accident occurred.

American flight 3408 was parked at the terminal and was being prepared for it’s next departure when the engine ingested the man on the ramp.

The individual has not been identified at this time.
The Independent, reports the FAA is investigating the incident and has just begun that investigation and information is being collected and will be released at a later date.

Envoy Air, is an American Airlines Group affiliate was operating the flight Dallas to Montgomery.
