Two Alabama Restaurants Added To List Of Iconic Southern Foods
THIS IS A LIST WE SHOULD DOMINATE!

As it turns out, the people at the Michelin Guide have a list of "Iconic Foods of the South". That sounds like lots of fun and a perfect place for Alabama to show out.
Well, we will get to the list in a minute, but there is breaking news to report. Two new Alabama restaurant dishes have just been added to the prestigious list. Deviled eggs from Mobile, Alabama's The Noble South, hit the list as one of the new entrants. The second addition comes from Hot & Hot Fish Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Their signature dish, collard greens, has been added to the iconic list.
I recently reviewed the list and am very disappointed to report that Alabama has only TWO restaurants on it. Barbecue, for example, did not have one Alabama restaurant in that category. Here are a few other categories in which Alabama restaurants were completely ignored: Fried Chicken, Chicken & Dumplings, Biscuits, and Grits. That is enough for now. I don't want to get all worked up over this list.
Check this list out for yourself HERE.
So, where is the best fried chicken in the SOUTH?
Well, one of the places on the list is in Mississippi. Oxford, to be specific. The restaurant is called "Snackbar," and apparently their chicken is "sweet-tea brined, adding a brightness to the juicy chicken". It's also one of the nicest places in town, but don't let that stop you from getting the fried chicken.
