Some things are just sacred in Alabama.

Now, I will be honest, much of it revolves around food.

You don't mess with our food in Alabama.

I have gotten into several debates about grits with my fellow southerners.

I'll confess, some people take issue with how I eat my grits.

They are my grits, and I'll eat them however I want!

OK, sorry, back to the main point.

Things that are unforgivable in Alabama!

Some say forgetting to put your peanuts in your Coke bottle is unforgivable.

Never miss the importance and appropriate timing of "bless your heart".

Never refuse food or sweet tea when in someone's home. It is impolite to say no when you are visiting.

Don't put brown sugar in grits.

Never, ever call soda "pop."

OK, this one is important.

Don't ever say something bad about college football.

In Alabama, football is almost a religion. Not exactly, but it could be considered very close.

On that note, never plan a wedding in the fall.

Do NOT use a dinner fork with your salad.

Ok, what do you think should be added to the list?
