Now, let's be honest. I might try to escape if I saw the doctor coming towards me with an instrument aimed at my "sensitive region".

I believe most guys would agree with me on this one.

I'd like to point out that cats are not from this planet.

The story you are about to read has happened not once, but twice in the Southeast USA.

It happened to Rodney Miller a little over one year ago. You see, Rodney and his family took their cat, Cannonball (he loved swimming pools), to be neutered in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

Before the procedure could be finished, Cannonball the cat got out of the room and then out of the building.

It was a nightmare. The family looked for their beloved pet every day for months.

The vet clinic also paid for posters and worked to find the family cat that they had let escape from the neutering procedure.

The family was distraught.

It's important to note that the family lived in the Tuscaloosa area and was located about 60 miles or so from the veterinarian's office.

After more than a year, Rodney woke up one day and walked out the front door on his way to work.

He was stunned and could not believe his eyes.

After more than 12 months and over 60 miles, Cannonball was standing on the front porch.

How in the world did that cat find his way all the way home?

Now, I can assure you the family has had Cannonball microchipped to avoid any future incidents.

Now, here's the really, really weird part.

It happened again this week in our neighboring state, Florida.

This time it was a cat named George. George was still under anesthesia when he escaped from a Florida vet before he was to be neutered.

Are these fellas starting to spread the word?

If I heard what they were about to do to me, I'd try to get out of there as fast as I possibly could.
