I've had the pleasure of being in New Orleans for a tailgate and sampling the most amazing fried turkey. I've tailgated in St. Louis and enjoyed incredible St. Louis-style BBQ ribs. Of course, I've been to many Alabama Crimson Tide tailgate events with great food, but I recently discovered an all-time great that I had never tried before.

This will change your life and certainly will change your tailgate party. I was recently introduced to an Alabama Dog. What is an Alabama Dog? Oh, you just wait. First, it has three main ingredients. Those three ingredients are ALL made right here in Alabama. Those three ingredients are Wickles Pickles relish, Big Bob Gibson's white BBQ sauce, and Conecuh sausage. I know, I know. It doesn't sound like it would work. TRUST ME, it does.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Well, you gotta get that good conecuh sausage cooked up and ready to be the star. You can grill it or fry it up in a skillet. It's also great in an air fryer. Once it is done, make sure your buns are ready. I prefer Wonder buns. Wonder Buns! They are great, and I suggest the ones used for sub sandwiches. Believe it or not, it all works really well together. Just put that sausage in your bun, add some white BBQ sauce, and top it with the Wickles Pickles relish.
