A Young Man is the Latest Homicide Victim in Birmingham
Police say shots were fired Thursday night in the Northside Birmingham neighborhood. The authorities were dispatched to 33 Place North in the 3100 block where the reported gunfire occurred.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated via the Birmingham Police Facebook page that the authorities discovered several discharged shell casings while on location. Later, the police learned the gunshot victim had been taken to UAB hospital.
The victim had been taken by private vehicle to seek medical treatment and was pronounced dead by UAB hospital staff. The victim is described as a young adult male or juvenile.
No one is in custody at this time.
