A free event to Empower Women

Here's more information about “Girl Talk: Overcoming Obstacles to Empower Women” beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bryant Conference Center in Tuscaloosa.

The free event will include discussions about substance abuse prevention, building communication skills, creating healthy relationships, understanding mental health issues and more. The all-female event is designed for mothers and daughters or girls and their mentors.

Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for registration and refreshments will be served.
