A Christmas to Remember

As we count down the days til Christmas, we hear our favorite Christmas songs playing throughout department stores as we shop, in the waiting rooms of our dentists and doctors offices, in our local retail shops and of course, on the radio. We look forward to it. Some of us even start listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving!

We all can recite the classics like Winter Wonderland, Silent Night, White Christmas, Jingle Bells, O Holy Night...the list is pretty extensive. We like to here our favorite country artist sing them too. Christmas music is magic in a way. It can take us back in time and make us remember.

When I was little, we had Christmas records from Randy Travis and Garth Brooks. We had another album I remember well. It was Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's Once Upon a Christmas. The album was accompanied by a now classic CBS Christmas television special titled Kenny & Dolly: A Christmas to Remember that originally aired on December 2, 1984.  I like to play these same songs at my house with my family every year now.
