Ten Must-Haves For Your July 4th Playlist in Alabama

July 4 is a time to celebrate our nation with family and friends. Most of us will have cookouts and we have your perfect playlist for the day RIGHT HERE.

Starting things off at No. 10 Martina McBride with "Independence Day."

Martina released her single in May of 1994 which initially addressed domestic violence but became associated as a patriotic song due to the chorus “Let Freedom Ring.” Many Politicians and media figures have used this song over the years.

No. 9 on our list is "Hey Mr. DJ," by the group Zhane, released in August of 1993.

"Hey Mr. DJ" peeked out at No. 6 on the Billboard charts. I can still play this song in any crowd and they will still groove to it.

No. 8 is "Rockin’ in the USA" by KISS, released in November of 1977.

Nothing says "America" like classic rock, "Rockin in the USA" gets the blood flowing and the adrenaline pumping.

No. 7 on the Top-10 must-have songs for any July 4 event is "All-American Girl" by Carrie Underwood, released in December of 2007.

Carrie loosely made a song about her life and how she overcame certain stereotypes. All-American Girl made it all the way to No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

The No. 6 song for our list is "No Diggity" by Blackstreet, released in July of 1996.

"No Diggity" ended Los del Río‘s Macarena’s 14-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Number 5 is Usher’s "Yeah" ft. Lil Jon and Ludacris.

"Yeah" was released in January of 2004 and stayed at No. 1 for 12 weeks.

The No. 4 song is Don McLean’s "American Pie," released in 1971.

This song is an excellent crowd-pleaser because everyone knows the chorus:

“Bye, bye, Miss American Pie,

Drove my Chevy to the levee,

But the levee was dry.”

No. 3 on the list is Beyonce’s "Single Ladies," better known as “Put a ring on it.”

Queen B brings everyone to the dance floor and Single Ladies topped the charts in December of 2008.

Getting closer to the top of our list, coming in at No. 2 for your July 4 party is TLC’s "Creep."

TLC released "Creep" in October of 1994 and it stayed at No. 1 for four weeks.

The No. 1 song on our list?

The song that's guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor for your July 4 party is Flo Rida's "Low."

Released in October of 2007, "Low" was the longest-running No. 1 song of 2008.
