Wild Bill Returns to the Radio in Tuscaloosa
95.3 the Bear (WFFN-FM) in Tuscaloosa is excited to announce the addition of longtime Tuscaloosa radio personality Wild Bill to its daily local programming lineup.
His widely-known show, ‘The Wild Bill Show,’ has aired in four different cities in Alabama and Florida and will now call 95.3 the Bear its home every afternoon from 3-7PM.
“I’m so excited about joining 95.3 the Bear for two main reasons, honestly,” I love having my show on with Bama Football, and the radio station is much closer to the original Dreamland ribs than my last!”
Wild Bill began his radio career more than 25 years ago in Boaz, Alabama with a shift at a local gospel station and has grown into one of the most popular DJs in West Alabama.
Wild Bill was voted by readers of The Tuscaloosa News and Gadsden Times as ‘Best Radio Personality’, and his career has also included six broadcasting awards. But he enjoys giving back to the community just as much as he enjoys radio. His annual ‘12 Strays of Christmas’ campaign has helped more than 500 stray cats and dogs.
“We are very excited to have Bill join the Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa team,” Market President David Dubose said. “Bill is a terrific entertainer on the radio and an important community leader. We are committed to expanding our local content and our emphasis on breaking local news, local traffic and local weather, and ‘The Wild Bill Show’ is an key part of our strategy to be the dominant source for live and local programming content for Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. We have wanted this a long time and we are excited to finally see this come together.”
