On a weekend when most West Alabama high school football games were moved to Thursday due to the threat of inclement weather, here’s a look at what happened on the field including a few Birmingham area games of interest.

In Friday action, McAdory pummeled Paul W. Bryant 46-19 in McCalla. Clay-Chalkvile struggled to hold off neighborhood rival Pinson Valley 14-12 but the Cougars eked out the win.

In Thursday action:

Hillcrest got both a late 92-yard touchdown run and a rally-killing interception from Ethan Crawford as the Pats beat Hueytown on the road 54-44.

Brookwood moved to 3-1 by holding Central off 26-22.

Tuscaloosa Academy downed Greene County 26-16.

Pickens County shut out Berry 62-0 and Aliceville blanked Francis Marion 56-0.

Hale County dropped Holt 26-8.

Demopolis dumped Marbury 54-0.

Jasper held back Fairview 34-26.

American Christian lost quarterback Kai Young to a broken collarbone but still won at Bibb County 20-14.

Hewitt-Trussville won convincingly at Tuscaloosa County 35-7 in the Wildcats’ first loss of the season.

Northridge bounced back from a tough loss last week and beat Bessemer City 40-12 in Head Coach Ryan Lolley’s 100th career win.

Gordo grated Midfield 56-13 behind quarterback Brax Garrison and running back Ray Ray Williams.

St. James jumped Greensboro 41-5.

Thompson has won two straight after beating Spain Park 35-14.

Hoover held off Vestavia 20-14.

And led by the arm and legs of quarterback Zach Williams North River Christian crushed Trinity 47-8.
