Since my sister-in-law first mentioned stopping by to eat at Whataburger while down at the beach, my interest has been piqued. I'd seen the restaurant before but for whatever reason, never had any desire to eat there.

Shortly after the burger joint landed on my radar, two individuals (whose opinions I trust when it comes to food) both mentioned how good their burgers where and thus began the mission of trying my first Whataburger hamburger. One of those was Scott Shepherd and the other was one of my oldest and closest friends, Shea Richardson.

Almost a year later, I finally found myself within the radius of a location that wasn't closed. While shopping in Pelham with Shea, I remembered a Whataburger location from my research and she agreed to eat there for lunch.

I ordered a Cheeseburger, medium fry and large Coke.

I was so excited about finally trying my first Whataburger that Shea grew nervous that she'd oversold the experience.

She didn't.

Here's a quick reaction video.

Here's the best part. We asked Jeff the manager what Tuscaloosa needed to do to get a Whataburger. 'All you need is 400 signatures,' he replied. 'Some guy tried to get one but he couldn't get enough to sign.'

We're about to change that so if you're a Whataburger fan, sign the petition and share the post!
