VIDEO: The Robots Come To Alabama And Quit Their Job
What a wonderful world we live in. Science has made such advances in such a short period of time.
It's coming everywhere and that includes Alabama.
Recently, Fox News did a story on the states with the most new tech companies since 2020, and Alabama was in the Top 10.
Alabama is in the Top states for new technology companies opening their doors.

Don't forget the Robotics Technology Park in Tanner, Alabama.
Lots of rumors about things they are testing and building these days.
Including a "tech workforce" that you can read about on the main page of their website.

Think about it…we share the planet with people older than Google.
Of course, some have no idea what Encyclopedia Britannica is. Sometimes, it took days to write an essay for school versus today, when an essay can be written in hours. Thank you, Internet.
Technological advances have made our lives easier.
Look at our beautiful University Of Alabama campus…we have Frank The Robot. Frank has one job.. and does an amazing job.
He paints the lines on our sacred field.
RollTide!
Now with the advances we have made, do you think the robots can have minds of their own?
Can they say “Take this job and shove it?”
Below is a video of Marty the robot… he walked, well, rolled off the job.
Yes, Marty is a supermarket robot who decided he was done checking the stock on the shelves and any hazards in the aisle.
He was fed up with the snide comments from customers who felt he was following them. Yes, there are TikTok videos making fun of Marty!
So can we blame him for trying to walk out? We have all had moments at our jobs when we wanted to just walk out, so Marty is one of us!
Now that wasn’t dangerous but it was funny.
How about walking into a restaurant and being served by a robot? Well, we here in Alabama have a place to eat where we can have our burger and fries brought to us by Betsy. We can see Betsy serving at Kemps Kitchen right here in Carbondale Alabama.
Which is a short drive from us here in Tuscaloosa.
Yet robots can be dangerous as well. A few years ago, Regina Allen Elsea, age 20, was tragically killed trying to repair a robot at an Alabama automotive stamping plant.
This makes me wonder…are all those sci-fi movies about robots taking over the world something that can happen?
