UGA’s Spring Struggles Give Alabama an Edge for 2025 Matchup??
Spring football is in full swing at the University of Alabama and across the NCAA. There is plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming season here at Alabama.

A-Day
One of the biggest talking points surrounding spring football in T-town has been A-Day. This year, it's been stated that A-Day will be modified and not televised for the first time in years.
Position Battles
Aside from A-Day, spring football in Alabama is filled with talk surrounding position battles. One of the biggest battles is with the Quarterback position. With Milroe's departure, Ty Simpson is looking to get his chance to lead the Tide. It's going to be rough with 5-Star freshman Keelon Russell and big-time transfer Austin Mack ready for their shot at QB-1.
The Wide Receiver position looks particularly interesting with former top-10 prospect with olympic-level track speed Jaylen Mbakwe moving to WR from DB. Isaiah Horton is a huge win from the transfer portal. He brings 56 catches for 616 yards from his 2024 season at Miami to the group.
Upcoming season
With all the talk about Alabama this spring, it makes people wonder what's happening with some of our opponents.
The Tide is scheduled to face off against UGA in Athens for the first time since 2015.
UGA head coach Kirby Smart recently spoke on his team's progress this spring and it's not looking too good for the Bulldogs. Smart was heard making some unflattering comments about his current team during a recent interview.
"We really can't practice to our standard because they're all tired," Smart said.
"They have to be willing to receive coaching," said Smart, referring to his team at UGA.
This doesn't seem to be a road to having a winning season in 2025. Smart went on to talk about his team being offended.
"They're offended when you coach them. I'm not talking about the freshmen, I'm talking about in general."
Do you think this is a sign that Kirby Smart will be done at UGA soon?
