
Two Rounds of Stormy Weather Expected in Alabama Saturday
The Townsquare Media Weather Center is keeping an eye on the weather as a frontal boundary is set to bring thunderstorms to the area early Saturday morning, with more storms expected to form in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham also adds that there “could be additional activity Saturday night into Sunday morning, though confidence is low.”

The Storm Prediction Center has placed some counties under a “Marginal Risk.”
The counties in West Alabama included are Fayette, Lamar, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, and Walker.
Timeline for West Alabama Counties
Fayette: 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.
Lamar: 3 a.m. – 7 a.m.
Pickens: 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Tuscaloosa: 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Walker: 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Threats
During the first wave, the main threats are damaging winds up to 60 mph, hail up to quarter size.

The overall timing is between 4 p.m. and 10 pm.
Threats
Residents should be aware that the concerns with this second wave are damaging winds up to 60 mph and hail up to quarter-size.
