Tuscaloosa Police Precinct Threatened

Mayor Walt Maddox told the 953 Bear Steve Shannon Morning Show that a Tuscaloosa Police Precinct was threatened after a suspect was tased and later died this past weekend. There will be an autopsy and independent investigation.

The mayor reported there were tickets and arrests after Bama students and others flocked to the strip over the weekend. Most were not wearing masks or social distancing. Mayor Maddox is meeting with UAPD today to discuss a partnership with TPD to better police the 20 to 30,000 students returning to Tuscaloosa.
