Tuscaloosa Area’s Finest Honored

I left today's Red Lobster 1st Responders Appreciation Lunch so grateful for our police. Times are tough for cops. Some people see THEM as the bad guys. Sure there are some bad apples. That is true in any profession. But the majority of our cops are dedicated men & women.

Getting to meet police officers in a relaxed setting like today really humanizes the police. These are dads & moms. Husbands & wives. Brothers & sisters. They are just like you & me. The difference is they risk their lives for us every single day they put on a badge & leave the house.

52 officers have lost their lives in the line of duty so far this year. It can happen anywhere. It happened this week in Iowa.

I pray for safety & protection of our men & women of law enforcement. We appreciate you.
