A 17-year-old is in the Tuscaloosa County Jail after he allegedly opened fire on the car his girlfriend kicked him out of Monday.

According to court documents filed Tuesday, Tyshwn Antonio Lockett was riding around Tuscaloosa with his girlfriend and two others when they got into an argument and she kicked him out of the Chevy Tahoe in which they rode.

Lockett, stranded in the parking lot of a hotel on Skyland Boulevard near Cottondale, allegedly drew a nine-millimeter handgun and opened fire on the vehicle as they drove away.

According to the deposition, the victims drove further down Skyland and pulled into a fast-food restaurant, where they found several bullet holes in the SUV and its tires. No one was injured in the shooting, but officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department were called to the scene.

An investigator spoke to the three people who were in the Tahoe and interviewed Lockett, who allegedly confessed to firing several rounds in anger at the trio as they rode away.

Lockett was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle, a Class B felony.

He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he remained Wednesday morning pending a $30,000 bond.
