A popular artificial sweetener, sold in Alabama and nationwide, has been linked to a 57% higher risk of heart attack and stroke.
Researchers found that people with the highest blood levels of xylitol faced significantly greater cardiovascular danger — even after adjusting for age, obesity, diabetes and other risk factors.
The study also found xylitol may enhance the ability of platelets to form clots.
Be aware and avoid the Xylitol.
