Just two days before the biggest game to date in college football, we look at three things to watch for this Saturday night when the Crimson Tide play the Georgia Bulldogs in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

1. Will Alabama's defense step up and have a better overall game? - This seems like a no brainer for the first thing to watch for. Alabama surrendered a total of 478 yards to Ole Miss and the lack of tackling and being able to stop the Rebels rushing attack is a big concern. Alabama allowed 279 rushing yards against the Rebels, which is something Georgia will look to take full advantage of this Saturday.

2. Can Alabama continue their dominant offensive attack against Georgia's stout defense? - This is a case of the irresistible force meeting an immovable object. Quarterback Mac Jones has been nothing short of spectacular this season. Against Ole Miss, Jones led the Tide to eight consecutive touchdown drives and threw for 417 yards. For the first time this season, Alabama will face a dominant defense. If Georgia can force some turnovers from Jones, it could be a long night in Tuscaloosa for the Tide.

3. Will Alabama respond in the absence of coach Nick Saban? - On Wednesday, Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne tested positive for COVID-19. Nick Saban isn't a player, doesn't suit up on Saturday, and won't play a down on the field. However, it will be important to watch what happens when he isn't on the sidelines. Is this a possible win one for the Gipper moments? Possibly.

When was the last time Nick Saban wasn't on the field coaching for Alabama? 2006 with the then-interim head coach, Joe Kines. Kines would go on to lose in the Independence Bowl to Oklahoma State 34-31. It will be interesting to see what happens this Saturday as No. 2 Alabama faces off against No. 3 Georgia.

Keep it tuned into Tide 100.9 for coverage of the game which begins on with the Tide Pre-game Show at 2 PM on Saturday!
