Four truckloads of donated Christmas toys have been stolen from the Salvation Army. WVUA 23 News reports members of the Salvation Army had planned to distribute toys, clothing, and other presents to local children in need as part of the agency's annual Angel Tree program; however, upon arrival at their warehouse Friday, they realized that four truckloads of donations were gone.

No information is available at this time about potential suspects in the theft. The Salvation Army asks that the public be on the lookout for people selling new Christmas toys on local Facebook groups and/or other commerce sites.

Please consider donating to the Salvation Army so that children in need in West Alabama still have a Merry Christmas.
