Tennessee Football Fans Arrested
Police in Knoxville arrested 18 Tennessee football fans and 47 Tennessee fans were ejected from the stadium during the Tennessee/Ole Miss game on Saturday.
The game was delayed 20 minutes as fans tossed water bottles, a mustard bottle, and a golf ball onto the field. The golf ball hit Lane Kiffin’s elbow. Cheerleaders and band members were escorted out of the stadium for their own safety.
The University of Tennessee Campus Police Department provided preliminary arrest numbers. The police are working to identify others, including students, who could lose their right to attend future football games. The University of Tennessee says that police will assist in putting new rules in place to deter future incidents at the stadium. More cameras could be installed in the student section at future games.
Will Tennessee fans bring this nonsense to Bryant Denny Stadium on Saturday for a homecoming game with Bama?
Stay classy Tennessee!
